Are you getting the most out of your AccessEnforcer?

Do you know about the AccessEnforcer's Best Practices Analyzer (BPA)? We recently released this feature in Charlie-44 (v2.0 20090417-44) and it is very simple to use to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly. Similar to Microsoft's BPA, the AccessEnforcer's BPA will analyze your AccessEnforcer's settings for conformance to best practices.

To use it, just go to Home > Best Practices Analyzer, and press the "Run Best Practices Analyzer" button.

After a few seconds, you will see a report showing various test results, such as whether the DNS servers you specified on the WAN page are valid, whether your email filtering settings have been set up correctly, whether any of your IPsec VPN policies have weak preshared keys, and so forth.

All items with a green checkmark mean that the test was successful, while a red X means that the test failed. Failed tests will also provide information and link to the specific GUI page so that you can correct the issue.

That's it! It's literally a single button that you press in order to analyze your AccessEnforcer's settings. Please check it out and let us know what you think.
