OpenBSD 4.4 was released today. Please order it or donate to the project!
There's a 5-minute-ish video review on YouTube, from a Linux desktop user's perspective. It gives a good overview on what to expect especially if you have experience with Linux desktops, as it gives a good but brief overview on how it differs from Linux.
I agree with the reviewer's conclusions that OpenBSD is for a technical user who is looking to deploy a network appliance or server, and definitely not a desktop (though there are plenty of desktop OpenBSD users who will disagree ;)).
Also, IMHO I think the spartan installer should remain as is, at least on the base system; maybe if someone comes up with a desktop OpenBSD variant, they can provide their own third-party GUI installer. :)
And oh, there's a Star Wars themed OpenBSD 4.4 song. It's a tribute to the team that made 4.4BSD(-lite) free, the foundation of the major BSD systems today.
